An independent activity specifically designed to improve the organization’s internal control is known as internal Audit. This activity helps an organization to strengthen their internal controls and accomplish its objectives and use a scientific approach to cater risk management, control and governance process.

It is necessary that internal controls of an entity are actually functioning as needed and designed by management.
